We are asking you to kindly support out campaign. We are a growing community bringing together residents, local groups and supporters concerened about the proposed gas drilling.

What Does This Effect?

This isn't just another development, it's a real risk to our drinking water, our environment and our climate. Here is why we need to draw a link in the chalk.

Air Quality - Industrial Pollution

The proposed site would introduce industrial scale diesel engines, increased HGV and LGV traffic and gas testing equipment.

Water Supply

Our local aquifer is made of chalk, and studies show higher risk of gas migration in the chalk. 900,000+ people rely on this water supply, will we be able to trust it in future?

Industrialisation of Rural Land

From buttery and soft to crisp and fragrant, our pears offer a sophisticated tasting experience for the discerning palate.

Wildlife & Biodiversity

The site is near the edge of the proposed Yorkshire AONB, meaning any habitat distription could affect one of England's most ecologically sensitive chalk landscapes.

Say No to Drilling on the Yorkshire Wolds

We believe in protecting nature, not exploiting it. Our commitment to the Yorkshire Wolds means preserving the soil, safeguarding biodiversity, and ensuring every acre of this landscape remains as unspoiled as it is irreplaceable.
