So, Yorkshire Water is investing millions to develop new drinking water supplies from the Yorkshire Wolds Principal Chalk Aquifer. At the same time, Egdon proposes drilling through that same Principal Aquifer at Foxholes. Yet they do not object to the potentially catastrophic risk of contaminating the drinking water of over 900k Yorkshire Water customers!

If this groundwater is vital enough to secure Yorkshire's future water supply, shouldn't it also receive the highest level of protection?

The precautionary principle must prevail.
